Hawick tennis talent Harris Brogan has been served a £400 grant from the Rowan Boland Memorial Trust

The funding will help the 12-year-old make national training camps in Stirling, and assist with travel costs for Harris to attend performance squads at Craiglockhart in Edinburgh three times a week. It will also help with costs associated with entering Scottish and UK competitions and for Harris to receive further coaching. The Hawick High School pupil is rated as the best player in his age group in the South of Scotland, ranked second in Scotland and 29th in the UK. A spokesperson for the Trust said: "We are delighted to support Harris again, having provided him with £300 grant in 2013, and look forward to continuing to see him progress in the coming years."
