Trust Wish Monica All The Best

Rowan Boland Memorial Trust has awarded Galashiels judo player Monica Riddell with £75 to cover the costs of an international training camp.

The event in  Edinburgh  on April 1 and 2 will see promising talent and leading coaches from across  Europe  take part.

The 14-year-old, who is part of the Focus Judo Club in Galashiels, started in the sport at the age of 10, and it is hoped her participation in the camp will lead to further improvements.

Chairman of the trust, David Boland, said: “We wish Monica all the best for the training camp and hope it helps to continue to develop her talents.”
