The ball was such a success that plans are already in place for another next year

OVER 200 people helped to raise £2,000 for the Rowan Boland Memorial Trust by donning masks and danced away the night at the charity's first ever masquerade ball.
The Volunteer Hall event saw music provided by Fahrenheit and a ceilidh with Lynne and Colin Kemp, while sponsors Niki's Bar ran the bar and provided the catering.
The ball was such a success that plans are already in place for another next year.
A Rowan Boland Memorial Trust spokesperson said: "Thanks to all of those who came along on the night and supported the trust, we hope you all had an enjoyable night.
"All the money will go towards helping young people in the Scottish Borders to take the next step towards their sporting dreams."
Anyone wishing to purchase photography's taken by Brian Sutherland on the night, should visit his website www.flipphotography.co.uk. Brian will deliver any ordered 8" x 10" photos for £15 if purchased before March 29.
