BUILDING firm boss Malky Horsburgh overcame an injury fear to cement a creditable showing in his second Loch Ness Marathon. Malky raised £342.50 for the Rowan Boland Memorial Trust by finishing in 4 hours 1 minute in the September event, despite a knee complaint putting his participation in doubt. The 35-year-old who owns MEH Limited, said: “I nicked a ligament in my left knee and was told to cut down my training. “I was not sure how it would hold up for the marathon, but thankfully I managed to get through it. “I trained for around three months so was a bit disappointed not to get inside the four hour mark, but I was still chuffed to finish it. “It is a hilly course but once you get past the hill at the 19 mile mark at Dores, you are home and dry.”
